Pepper was surrendered to the shelter and she does have FIV.  She was so scared there but she still made sure that her kittens were taken care of.  She has been the best mom and her kittens are well taken care of.  She does still nurse them and clean them even though they are older.  She is very talkative and she has the most beautiful green eyes.  Not sure if she gets along with other cats since she is protective of the babies but she does not seem to mind them at all.  She does get startled by noises and will hiss but she never has been aggressive and she is always sweet.  She purrs and enjoys to be pet.  She would love to go home with one of her kittens.  She is used to older children.  She uses the cat box and has no real vices.
If you are interested in meeting Pepper, please contact her foster mom, Debbee, by emailing her at harrdebb01@aol.com  or by texting her at 321-239-8482

Pepper is available for adoption through Orange County Animal Services.  Her adoption fees will never be more than $40 and in most cases will be lower (please inquire about any specials).  Her adoption fees include her spay surgery, microchip, shots/vaccines, FIV and FelV combo testing, and rabies vaccine.  They also offer BOGO on cats/kittens so you might consider 2 for twice the fun.

More about Pepper

Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Very vocal, Timid, Even-tempered, Gentle

Special Needs: FIV is an autoimmune disorder. This means that the cat has a suppressed immune system and must be kept on a healthy diet and not be exposed to external diseases. They can live long healthy lives if kept indoors. FIV can only be transmitted to another cat (and only through aggressive biting and blood drawing), so a home with no cats, or with dogs, or possibly with another FIV+ cat would be ideal.
