Kris was turned into the shelter by a woman who found her living with her kittens in her backyard. Her personality definitely demonstrates that she was someone's owned cat who may have found herself having her kittens outdoors. She is perfect with the litter box and grooms herself and the kittens thoroughly. Kris is very slender, weighing less than 6 pounds after having the kittens and she has a voracious appetite for canned cat food. Kris follows her foster mom wherever she goes, often meowing for pets. She enjoys sitting on foster mom's lap or on an end table next to her while watching tv. She likes to sit on the screened porch to observe the conservation area with its activities. Kris has come to sleep on foster mom's bed overnight now that the kittens are fully weaned. She is not aggressive to the resident cats, but will meow loudly to warn them away. That behavior will likely change in a permanent home.

Adoption is $40 or less. The fee includes spay surgery, vaccines including rabies, microchip, and Feline Leukemia/FIV testing.
